A fine acrylic painting with oil details by the artist James McLernon, depicting a male figure playing an instrument. The artist's figure composition and structure has allowed for a great expressive scene, highlighted by the thick brushwork and intense colour palette. Monogrammed to the lower left-hand corner. Label with additional details to the reverse. Signed with monogram. On board.

Artist Biography

Born in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland in 1935, James McLernon studied at the Working Men's College in Camden Town. His works have been exhibited in various exhibitions in London. He died in Tunbridge Wells in 2012.
