A very precise watercolour painting with gouache and graphite, depicting a surreal scene with two figures, possibly alluding to the Greek mythological story of Patroclus and Achilles. Signed and dated 'James Lewis, 1985' on the reverse of the painting, visible upon unframing. There is a label on the reverse inscribed with the title. Well-presented in a card mount and in a light wooden frame. On watercolour paper.
Condition
Painting in fine condition. Some minor marks and trapped dirt to the mount. Some scuffs and abrasion marks to the frame, as well as slight widening of the corner joints.
