A dynamic 20th Century acrylic scene showing a town viewed from a copse of trees. The artist has used a warm palette of yellows and browns with intriguing flashes of blues and reds between the trees. The artist has used a slightly textured gesso ground. The artist has signed to the lower right and there is a label at the reverse with the artist's name and address and the title of the painting. Some wear to the paint at the outer edges of the board from previous framing.

Artist Biography
Painter, designer and teacher, born and lived in Leicester, where he attended the College of Art, 1928–35, teachers including A R Middleton Todd and J F Pettinger. For a time he was a consultant to the Graphic Art Studio. Kibart held senior positions in Leicester’s Sketch Club and its Society of Artists. He showed at the public gallery there and in Nottingham, elsewhere in the Midlands and in Edinburgh.
