James Hewitt

With calming skies and vast landscapes, this unique selection of paintings perfectly captures the beauty of the British countryside with an impressionistic edge.
James Hewitt

James Hewitt was born in Romford, Essex, and studied at Central St Martins in London. Taking primary inspiration from John Constable, Hewitt paints many of his works 'en plein air', choosing to capture a natural moment in the landscape directly outdoors.

Many of his works focus on the East Anglian countryside and coastline, capturing the peaceful landscapes Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, in a calming palette. Work by Hewitt can be found in the collection of the Beecroft Art Gallery, Southend-on-Sea, Essex.
