A view of a coastal village with smoke rising from the chimneys. Signed to the lower-right edge. On watercolour paper.

Condition

There is some mild discolouration and some slight creases at the lower-right corner. There is a small tear measuring 0.8cm to the right edge.

Collection Information

James Heron was a Scottish artist who lived in Edinburgh, and painted many Fife scenes, harbours, farmyard scenes and landscapes around Scotland. Heron exhibited at the Glasgow Institute and the Royal Scottish Academy of Art and Architecture, known as the RSA.
