James Caldwall - Original 1780 Engraving. After a painting by George Carter. 'The Engagement between the Quebec Frigate, Cap.n George Farmer, and the Surveillante Frigate'. Published October 1st 1780 by Geo. Carter of Margaret Street. Cavendish Square, London. Signed in plate. On wove. In relatively poor condition, particularly towards bottom of paper which has scattered tears and rubbing to surface. Trimmed at plate.
