James Abbott McNeill Whistler - Original 19th Century Photogravure. Signed in the plate with Whistler's butterfly mark. Inscribed. Published London, JS Virtue and Co Limited. Mount burn around the image and more significant age toning at the outer edge of the sheet. Glued paper remnants along the top of the sheet.

In 1879 Whistler produced this as an etching known as 'Fulham', published by the Fine Art Society with Whistler supervising the printing. At some later stage he sold the plate to the Fine Art Society who made a photogravure of the original etching which was published under the title 'Chelsea' in England (by JS Virtue and Co) and America.
