Artist Biography
Jack Cudworth (1930-2010) was born in Leeds and was educated in the Leeds College of Art. Cudworth then lived in Dublin for a while and then settled in England in 1975.
In 1959, Jack won a poster competition in the professional category having spent a lot of time devoting his attention to designing and illustrating for various advertising agencies.
Cudworth’s style is sometimes described as diverse which in some cases was not appealing however it is evident that whatever approach he did chose to take, he gave it attention and treated it with great care.
Jack’s work was exhibited in the RHA, the Oireachtas exhibitions, the Irish Exhibition of Living Art, the Royal Academy and the Royal Scottish Academy.
