Description

An interesting watercolour composition by the American artist John William Smith Cox. Known for having invented the 'wet-on-wet watercolor technique (immersing paper in water and painting wet watercolor pigments onto the wet paper, so that the pigments can spread and take on a "life" of their own.)', this piece is great example of this. On watercolour paper, laid to thick card. Signed and dated.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration.
