Description

A gouache, pen and ink, and watercolour scene depicting Queen Elizabeth being received by the Earl of Leicester at Oxford, 1566. Inscribed with this information on a label adhered to the upper-right edge. Presented glazed in a beige and green double mount and a distressed gilt-effect wooden frame. Signed to the lower-right edge. On wove.

Condition

There is some mild cockling to the substrate and some slight marks to the mount. Overall in good condition.
