A dramatic late 19th Century restrike of a fine soft ground etching, showing the West view of the imposing Stonehenge in Salisbury. The artist's name and printer's details are inscribed in plate along with the title and original publishing date of 1829. The etching has been presented in a painted green mount and a simple gilt frame. On paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration, particularly to the two lower corners. The frame has some scuffing to the gilt across the surface and there is some debris trapped behind the glazing.
