Two girls sit in a classroom whilst a lamb cocks its head inquisitively in this delightful scene. The painting served as an illustration in The Big Book of Little, an illustrated children's book by Cooper Edens (b.1945). Initialled to the lower margin. Titled and inscribed 'J. Lawson' to the reverse. Well presented in an ornate antique frame. On paper.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age, including some discolouration and light foxing. Wear and small losses to the frame, as well as some cracking to the ornamentation.
