Collection Information
John Hamilton Glass was a Scottish painter of portraits, landscapes and horses. He was elected as a member of the Royal Scottish Academy in 1849 and exhibited extensively, showing 19 works at the RSA, 3 at the Glasgow Institute, 4 at the Royal Hibernian Academy and others at the Royal Academy in 1847 and 1859. He later emigrated to Australia where he gave up painting.
