J.H - Original 1840 Cut Paper. Heightened with gold paint and tin studs to the uniform details. Fixed to backing board measuring 32.5 x 20.5 cm. Signed with initials to the lower right. An old label with inscription to the reverse. Signed. On wove. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Surface dirt and some small foxing spots and surface abrasions. Some tiny losses to the paper in the officer's hat.
