J.G. Allen - Large Gilt Framed Original 1898 Oil. An excellent English School landscape painting in an ornate gilt frame (not original). Signed and dated in the lower right. On canvas on stretchers. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and craquelure. There are some closed tears and inspection under UV light reveals touching up in these areas.
