A vibrant and joyful contemporary limited edition woodblock print by the artist Ivy Smith, depicting a floral still life composition. Signed and dated in the lower right hand corner of the picture and an inscription in the lower right hand corner that reads 'Roses 4/50', all in graphite. Displayed in a stone coloured card mount and well presented in a simple wooden frame. Signed and dated and inscribed. On wove.Condition

Artist Biography
Ivy Smith is a painter who attended firstly Walthamstow School of Art, The Central School of Arts & Crafts, London followed by Chelsea School of Art and the RA Schools.
Smith's first solo exhibition at held at Leamington Spa Art Gallery in 1974. Others include shows at Fermoy Gallery, Kings Lyn, Oriel 31, Welshpool, Norwich Castle Museum and Gainsborough House, Sudbury. Her group showings have taken place at the RA, the Woodland Gallery, Blackheath, John Russell Gallery, Ipswich and at the Edinburgh Printmakers Gallery in 2000.
Smith was commissioned by the NPG in 1989 to paint a double portrait of Sir Richard and Sir David Attenborough. Her work is included in the collections of Coventry Polytechnic, Graves Art Gallery, Leamington Spa Art Gallery, National Trust, Norwich Castle Museum, Sheffield University and Sussex University.
