Known for his studies of women and girls, Tarkay technical mastery and unique style has made his art some of the most recognizable and successful in the modern world. Artist Biography
Itzchak Tarkay(1935-2012) was a significant artist in the global contemporary art scene and a prominent Israeli artist. Born in 1935 in Yugoslavia, his family moved to Israel after the Second World War. In 1951, Tarkay received a scholarship to the elite Anvi Art Academy and established a reputation as brilliant figurative artist. Tarkay's art can be seen in museums and private collections around the world.
