Isaac Taylor II - Original 18th Century Engraving. After the original paintings by Robert Smirke, RA. From Boydell's Shakespeare Folio Volume I. Act V, Scene V. Printed on heavy wove paper and fixed in an inscribed card mount measuring (50.5 x 56 cm). Inscribed. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is a loss to the upper edge of the mount which is generally in poor condition.

Son of Isaac Taylor I (1730-1807), Isaac Taylor II was a stipple engraver of decorative and historical subjects after his contemporaries. Born in London, he was the pupil of F. Bartolozzi and in about 1768 he moved to Suffolk and became minister of an Independent Congregation at Colchester and at Ongar, where he died.
