Artist Biography
Itzchak Tarkay(1935-2012) was a significant artist in the global contemporary art scene and a prominent Israeli artist. Born in 1935 in Yugoslavia, his family moved to Israel after the Second World War. In 1951, Tarkay received a scholarship to the elite Anvi Art Academy and established a reputation as brilliant figurative artist. Tarkay's art can be seen in museums and private collections around the world.
