A wonderful mid to late 20th century oil by well listed artist Irene Bretell. Here the artist has captured a working boat yard with large fishing ship and small rowing boat dominating the composition. Bretell is known for her scenes of Cornwall and the South coast. Finished with a light varnish and well presented in a wooden frame with gilt detail. Signed. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
Overall the condition is very good. There is a small mark where varnish has dripped down the centre of the canvas. However this is only clearly visible under UV light.
