A colourful diptych of Indian miniature paintings, both showing scenes of men and women sitting under awnings in a camp. The left picture shows a man taking a drink from a shy woman. The right shows a man resting on the ground as a woman stokes a fire, over which food is cooking. The paintings are presented in a well proportioned oak frame with a gilt inner window, glazing and a gold double mount. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. The frame has general dirtying and the gilt inner window has some tarnishing and scuffing.
