A striking gouache portrait in the traditional style of Indian miniature painters, showing a beautiful young woman in fine clothes and jewels. There is a delicate hand painted border and wash-line edge around the portrait. The artist has signed in Arabic to the lower edge and the painting has been presented in a simple black frame. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is heavy discolouration to the wove with slight watermark to the lower right.
