Description
A fine mid 19th century watercolours depicting a woodsman busy hand sawing a large length of timber over a saw pit. Stacks of logs can be seen in the background, covered in small bundles of branches, keeping what's been cut dry. The artist has signed and dated to the lower right-hand corner, and the painting has been beautifully presented in a simple wooden frame and grey mount. Glazed. On paper.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration to the watercolours.
