Hugo Burkner - Original Mid 19th Century Etching. A very fine etching. There is some writing in the plate which I cannot make out. Inscribed Lida Bendemann geb Schladow in her home 1825. Lida Schadow was the daughter of Johann Gottfried Schadow the sculptor and friend of Goethe. Her brothers were artists and sculptors. She married the artist Eduard Julius Friedrich Bendemann and was the mother of Felix von Bendemann. Also inscribed (later) H Berkner On India paper. In fine condition.Size
