A watercolour with pen and ink detailing by British Royal Academician Hubert Andrew Freeth. Is signed in the lower right and further inscribed in the artist's hand on the reverse- "H. Andrew Freeth - for Elizabeth - with love February 1982. There is a printed label fixed to the reverse with the title and artist bio. Presented in a card mount with gilt frame. Signed. On wove.

Artist Biography

Hubert Andrew Freeth was a portrait painter and etcher. He studied at the Birmingham College of Art and the British School in Rome. He exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy and the Royal Watercolour Society from 1936. Freeth was elected to the Royal Academy in 1965 and taught at St Martin's School of Art and the Central School of Art in London.
