The work depicts a scene from classical mythology, where the wild boar that killed Adonis, Venus's mortal lover, is brought before the grief-stricken goddess. Inscriptions below the image. Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing to the paper. Some tears around the edges, which have been repaired. Marks and scuffs to the frame, as well as some cracking to the running patterns.
