Hewley Mortimer Baines - Original 19th Century Graphite Drawing. Signed and inscribed to the lower right, "Age 13, when at Bengio Hospital". Signed and inscribed. On wove. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Some surface dirt and stains.

Hewley Mortimer Baines was married to May Harrison and succeeded his father Hewley John Baines in taking over the Bell Hall estates in 1830. The Baines family owned Bell Hall since 1710 after it changes hands from the Hewley family.
