Hewley Mortimer Baines - Original 1810 Graphite Drawing. Signed and dated to the lower right. Signed and dated. On wove. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Some surface dirt and minor creases to paper.

Hewley Mortimer Baines was married to May Harrison and succeeded his father Hewley John Baines in taking over the Bell Hall estates in 1830. The Baines family owned Bell Hall since 1710 after it changes hands from the Hewley family.
