Description

An engraving by Herbert Bourne (c.1825-1907) after Edwin Longsden Long RA (1829-1891) depicting Merab, one of the daughters of King Saul. Inscribed with the names of the artists, title, date, and publication information in plate. Presented glazed in a distressed gilt-effect wooden frame. On chine colle.

Condition

There are some scratches to the frame and a couple of very slight marks to the glazing. Overall very well presented and in fine condition.

Artist Biography

Herbert Bourne (c.1825-1907) was an English engraver. He exhibited at the Royal Academy in London from 1859 to 1885, and at the Suffolk Street gallery in London from 1831 to 1885.
