A elegant depiction of ducks in flight by the Australian printmaker, Henry Rayner (1902-1957). Here, Rayner has used the technique of drypoint to gracefully capture duck as they come to land. Artist Biography

Australian by birth, Henry Rayner moved to England at the age of 21, studying at the Royal Academy Schools under Walter Sickert, who remained a friend. Against Sickert’s advice, Rayner was drawn to the printmaking technique of drypoint and over the next twenty years he produced more than 500 plates.
