The plate is well worn and the example print is has tears to the edges where it has been wrapped around the plate. Some spots of discolouration to the printed impression.

Henry Martin Pope was a British visual artist who was born in 1834. Many works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'A traveller before a ruined castle' sold at Christie's South Kensington 'The Lyndon Goodwin Harris Collection of Watercolours by Albert Goodwin, Joseph Edward Southall & Other Artists' in 2007. The artist died in 1908.
