Artist Biography

Painter, born in Bridgenorth, Shropshire, the daughter of a New Zealand sheep farmer. She studied art in Edinburgh and Paris and resided in St. Ives from the early 1920’s first showing with the St. Ives Society of Artists in 1923. Seddon was elected to that society in 1928 remaining a member until 1972. She took private lessons from Charles Simpson and Fred Milner and was one of the stalwarts of the watercolour still-life section of the STISA for over forty years. She also showed with the SWA. Her death was recorded at Penzance, Cornwall.
