Artist Biography
Harry Goodwin (c.1840-1925) was a painter and illustrator, elder brother of Albert Goodwin. Born in Maidstone, Kent, he exhibited at the Lake Artists Society, RA, NWS and at the Walker's Gallery, London, holding solo exhibitions there in 1921 and 1924. His paintings, though not as fine as Albert Goodwin’s, are occasionally confused with his more famous brother’s work. An example of Harry Goodwin’s oeuvre is held by Maidstone Art Gallery.
