Description
A Dutch cottage interior with a woman seated beside an open hearth, bent towards the embers with the great hood of the chimney breast rising above her. Charmingly quaint, the interior gives a realistic portrayal of the simplicities of rural peasant life. Signed to the lower right. Presented in a black frame with bronzed rope, egg and dart detailing with foliate mouldings to the cover. On canvas.Condition
Fine craquelure observed throughout, particularly to the lower right. The artwork is in good condition for its age.
