A wonderful coastal study depicting a rocky outcrop and crashing waves. With impressionist qualities and touches of bold colour. The areas of impasto give the composition a depth and excitement that captures the atmosphere of a beach at sunset perfectly. Signed and dated to the lower left. On canvas on stretchers.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some surface dirt and discolouration. There are several scattered marks to the surface and repairs to the canvas can be seen to the reverse.
