A charming watercolour study depicting Kersal Cell in Salford, Greater Manchester. The house was built on the land of Kersal Cell monastery which was founded in 12th century and the Tudor house itself has timber structures that date back to the early 1500's. The house was redeveloped in the 1970's , losing many of its original features. This charming scene shows the house as it was in 1905. Signed, dated and titled in graphite. Inscribed to the reverse. Presented in a card mount. On paper.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is wear and tearing to the mount.
