A wonderful impressionist study capturing ducks in a pond by the British artist Gwendolen Jackson. Well presented in a painted white wood frame. Various labels to the reverse, including an original handwritten label, a short biography, and a label from The Midland Group of Artists. Signed. On board.Condition
Overall the condition is good for a picture of this age. There is some cracking to the paint but otherwise in good condition. No signs of restoration. Minor marks to the frame.

Artist Biography
Gwendolen R. Jackson (b.1919) was a painter and batik artist. Jackson trained at Westminster School of Art between 1936 and 1939. She taught at Rolle College, Exmouth, and was a member of the Batik Guild, as well as the Devon Guild of Craftsmen. Jackson exhibited at numerous venues in Devon and beyond the UK.
