There is some wear and small losses to the edges of the board, notably to the lower and right edges. The board is slightly warped.

Artist Biography

Born in Sheffield in 1926, Grace Larner went to Art School in Chesterfield before winning a place at the prestigious Slade School of Fine Art in 1945. After completing her studies, Grace earned her teaching certificate at the University of London and began her first job as an Art Teacher at Rotherham Girls’ High School. From 1950 until 1980, Larner was steadfast in her own creative work. She became a member of the Industrial Painters group and exhibited at various venues across the British Isles, including the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, the United Society of Artists, the Royal Society of British Artists, and the New English Art Club.
