Gilt Framed Original 19th Century Oil. An impressive three-quarter length portrait of a seated woman wearing black. In a simple gilt frame. Unsigned. On canvas on stretchers. There are two closed and filled tears in the lower right measuring 3.5 cm and 1cm. Inspection under UV light reveals some small losses with touching up. There is craquelure typical for a picture of this age, otherwise in fine condition and the effect of the whole is very good.
