A fine Georgian watercolour, showing the ruins of an impressive Norman abbey on the banks of a river. A family can be seen fishing on a rocky outcrop on the near bank. The painting is unsigned and presented in a gilt slip with wash-line mount. On wove.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and fading. Several very minor foxed spots in the sky area. The frame has losses to at all edges, surface scuffing and tarnishing to the gilt.
