The condition is typical for a picture of this age, including some discolouration and foxing. Marks and scuffs to the frame. Small loss to the underside of the lower edge of the frame.

Artist Biography

George Willott (1900-2000) was a British watercolour artist. Although predominantly a landscape artist, this collection of detailed etching and graphite studies demonstrates his skill as a portraitist. He served as Principal of the Municipal School of Art at Goodall Street, Walsall, and in 1949 became the first Secretary of the Walsall Society of Artists.
