A late 19th century watercolour study of Chobham Common, near Woking created by George Oyston (1860 - 1937). Oyston specialised in landscape painting, especially river scenes from his native town in North Shields. In the late 1890's he moved south to Surrey, which is where this study was completed. He exhibited between 1891 and 1897 at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and the Royal Society of British Artists. Signed. On wove.
