This charming oil painting depicts a Cumbrian farmstead nestled amongst rolling countryside, with a stone cottage beneath a soft, cloud-strewn sky. The composition is anchored by a gnarled willow in the foreground, its silvery-green foliage drooping gracefully towards the stream below. Condition
Signs of wear consistent with age. Minor dirtying to the surface of the artwork. The canvas has been previously relined. Inspection under UV light reveals minor overpainting. Light scuffs to the gilt effect frame. The overall condition of the artwork is very good.
