George Horne - 20th Century Oil Castle Combe
Description
A charming 20th Century view of the idyllic village of Castle Combe in Wiltshire, with two boys fishing off a hump back bridge. The artist has signed to the lower right corner and the painting has been presented in a handsome 20th Century gilt frame with swept rail and corners boasting acanthus leaf and floral detailing. There is a framer's label at the reverse and a label with the artist's biography. The artist has signed and inscribed to the location to the reverse. On canvas.Condition
In fine condition. There is a small loss to the frame at the left side of the upper edge rail.

Artist Biography
George Horne was born in Worcestershire and educated in Vancouver, Canada where his artistic talent was first recognised. His schooling was completed in England including studying at the Birmingham College of Art. Prizes for painting and design have been won, both in college and commerce.
George Horne lives in South Devon and specialises in English landscapes and marine paintings and has an international reputation having worked and exhibited in the United States and Mexico.
His works have proved to be most popular and are purchased by many British Galleries and private collectors and are acclaimed for their variety of subject and colour.
