Description

George Holmes - Original Early 19th Century Charcoal Drawing. A very fine drawing signed Geo Holmes lower centre. Holmes was a member of an informal group of artists in Bristol ca 1810 called the Bristol Sketching Club and this looks to me like the Avon Gorge, a favourite subject of his. Holmes exhibited widely, including the RA and the British Museum have several examples of his work. In fine condition.
