Description

A charming watercolour study by British artist George Frederick Rosenberg. The artist has used gum arabic to enhance the rich tones used to the verdant areas. Inscribed 'On the road between Machynlleth and Dolgelly, Merionethshire, North Wales' and dated on the reverse. This painting was sold by Gerald M Norman Gallery, St. James in 1970 with attribution to G F Rosenberg. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. With mount burn to the lower edge, foxing and a pinhole mark to the upper right area, as shown.
