Artist Biography
George Brant Bridgman (1865–1943) was a Canadian-American painter and teacher, well known for his writing about anatomy and figure drawing. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris but spent most of his life in the US, teaching anatomy and figure drawing at the Art Students League of New York. Among his students were cartoonists Will Eisner and Norman Rockwell.
