Whilst we know very little about the life of this 20th century British artist, a fascination with the ever changing coastline of the British Isles as a subject is evident, with rolling tides and crashing frothing waves rendered delicately in many of the works. Themes include elements of daily life on the coast, fishing vessels and the unpredictability of Mother Nature. Nearly all works in this ebullient collection are signed by the artist.
