Artist Biography
Gary Vincent was born in 1968 in Cap-Haitien. After finishing his formal schooling he went to study at the "Arc-en-Ciel" founded by Létitia Schutt. In 1995 he was invited to participate for the first time in an exhibition.
His work was featured in New York in an exhibition entitled "The Boat People". In 1997 he was selected, along with 11 other artists, to participate in an exhibition sponsored by the French Institute of Haiti entitled "Connaitre les Juenes Peintres" (Meet the New Artists). In 1998 he also participated in an art exhibit promoting human rights sponsored by UNESCO, and the Musee d'Art Haitien du College Saint Pierre in Port-au-Prince.
