Artist Biography
Born in Portsmouth in 1933, Garrick Palmer is a painter, printmaker, and photographer. After studying at Portsmouth College of Art and Design and the Royal Academy, he spent nearly thirty years teaching at Winchester School of Art, eventually heading its Foundation Department. His distinctive wood engravings have illustrated many books, and his work is represented in collections both public and private.
